Maxwell Hinged Bow roller makes things a little easier. When setting anchor flips the tip of the anchor roller and then slide towards the water - and of course the opposite function when the anchor is hauled home.
The advantage of this system is that the anchor when it is put not "sudden" off the edge of the bow roller, not swinging and maybe hit the boat. When the anchor is hauled slips easily into the roll and when the center of gravity is reached slips nicely into place.
