Vetus marine vinyl - White, RAL 9002 - comes in rolls of 5 x 1.37 metres.
The vinyl is the same as that used on all Vetus Steering Chairs, so here it is possible to match the covering to your new steering chair or upholster another seat in the same material. The vinyl is also used for wall coverings on board.
Our Marine vinyl is, as the name says, designed especially for use on the boat. It is UV resistant, waterproof and easy to clean with a wet cloth. The material is "single jersey fabric" with PVC and has a weight of 640 g/m2

Marine Skai – Information about glue
Many different types of vinyl glue can be used, but it depends on where the vinyl is used and the materials the vinyl will be glued to.
Below we suggest two types of glue:
Casco Flex 3442:
Casco Flex 3442 can be used together with Vetus Marine Skai, but before use it must be checked to what extent Casco Flex 3442 is suitable for the surface on which it is to be used.
Casco Flex 3442 can be used with a notched trowel and then press the vinyl with a roller tool or plastic trowel.
Temperature is also important, between 18 – 22 degrees Celsius is best and humidity should be around 55-65%.
Before you start gluing, the surface must be clean and dry - and it is best to use a primer before Casco Flex 3442, but as mentioned, it depends on the type of material it is to be used on.
3M spray:
3M Spray Glue can be used together with Vetus Marine Skai, but before use, it must be checked to what extent 3M Spray Glue is suitable for the surface it is to be used on.
3M spray adhesive is best used for smaller jobs or when it is difficult to use a dental putty. With 3M spray glue, you add glue to both material and wall, ceiling or boards, wait a few minutes and then press the vinyl to the material.
